Vs St Cleeer Res - Duchy East

The last Saturday fixture of the season. Not the longest journey of the season, although getting there felt it.

St Cleer is a lovely little villagein Cornwall, on the edge of the moors, a few miles from Liskeard, which is on the edge of Plymouth.
From conversations with the crowd, the home clubs first team has now become Liskeard Res, as either St Cleer 1st team  (more likely) or Liskeard FC got promoted - Howver Im still not sure how and why but there you go.

The ground has a number of facilities, a nice big club house, a large car park, which I think most grounds have had we've been to this season. An old stand and, and a A TEA hut, except it was blumming well shop and looked like it had been for a while. Darn it

The match was entertaining with the usual amount of fiest from both teams and finished 2-2. The home side also managed to hit the woodwork, although perhaps the away were unlucky not to win as XT had a half chance late on but couldnt control it under pressure and the shot went over.

I can say this as a fan, the standard of refereeing was not good, I'm being polite, I appreciate it can't be easy and I have no experience of rafereeing but it seems a number of the refs I seen this season  are more likely to give a card for questioning a decision than for a player commiting a foul. Perhaps I should do a course and try my hand at being the man in  the middle. The only thing is I dont think my legs could cope wiith 45 mins each way.

I just want to say well done to Port Talbot for completing what was without doubt an awful season, they have had much criticism about there performance on the pitch-playecd 30, W 0, D 0, L 30, F 8 A 121 paints a pretty damning picture but credit has to go to the players  for picking themselves up each week and trying again, and again and again. Things can only get better.
