Last home game of the season vs QPR

A return trip to the Swansea.com stadium, this time the visitors are QPR. The match is a bit of nione event in terms of league position, neither can make the play offs and neither were in any danger of relegation, with all 3 plays having already been decided. Swansea are guaranteed to finish abiover Cardiff, so I'm hoping for some youth to be injected onto the pitch but we will see what Martin puts out.

As the tickets were only £7 each (for us Jack army anyway)and the weather is nice, I'm hoping for a decnet crowd, although you can nevre really tell with these end of season affairs

a small but noisy away crowd-although they did grow in number and got even louder

0-0 half time, lots of pretty passing but not a lot else. Although Swansea did have the ball in the back of the next only for it to be ruled out for offside.  We didn't realize this been in the opposite corner at first but there you go.Doooohh!!!!

It was nice to see Dion Sanderson play. He was great for SUNDERLAND last season until injury forced him out. Which possibly cost us promotion. Hey Ho!

2nd bagan with Swansea showing a bit more desire and threatened a few times but to no avail. Andre Grey came on after 64 mins and scored the winner on 80mins. A slighty flat way to finish the season.

Once the game had finished, the players, their families and coaching staff all came on to the pitch to do a lap of honor and to that the fans for all the support.

I'll give i to the Swansea player, or most of them anyway, they have time with the fans. Korey Smith, who came on after 65mins to make his final appearence in a Swansea shirt, came over at the end a took the time to sogn shirts and take photos with fans, including XT.

Just as a footnote, a brilliant 1st leg result for Sunderland last night at the SOL, in front of almost 45000 fans, this is league 1 remember so just to remind everyone, that the attendance was a record for a play off semi-final and not to far short of the 46039 set by Sunderland against Bradford on Boxing day 2018. The second leg, on Monday at Hillsborough will also have a bumper crowd, so a record combined semi-final crowd will be achieved, surpassing (I think) Boro vs Villa a few years back.
